Even by our own high standards, this time we've really out done ourselves. The legendary, award-winning Planet X Pro Carbon with Shimano Ultegra components is now available for an unbelievable £999.99. Nobody else has even come close to offering a bike of this specification for under a grand.
Constructed using Toray T700 carbon, the Pro Carbon has become known as the perfect do-it-all introduction to carbon road bikes. Equally at home on the commute or the climb, this Ultegra build surpasses the already lofty stature of previous Pro Carbon builds.
We know Ultegra on a bike of this price is unheard of, and we're not just giving you an Ultegra front mech, we're giving you a whole gearing system, from the carbon Dual Control STI shifters, providing superior tactile feedback for powerful, yet controlled performance with comfortable operation, right through to the lightweight front and rear derailleurs give you the flawless shifting that Ultegra has become known for, and will no doubt be a distinct improvement on your previous groupset. The bottom line with Ultegra is that in both weight and performance wise it's comparable, or almost indistinguishable, from its bigger brother Dura-Ace, which is quite an accolade we're sure you'll agree.
Elsewhere the Shimano theme continues with Shimano 172.5mm, 50-34t chainset, brakeset and Shimano R500 clincher wheels. We've also put to use our own Planet X 3D Forged 2014 stem, Strada Compact Lite bars and Superlight seatpost. No compromises, just quality kit.
With options to upgrade your tyres, saddle and seatpost, you can make this bike your own.
There's a reason why we can offer this to you at the price it is. We do things differently at Planet X. No large, lavish advertising campaigns, no big overheads and no middlemen. Only bikes of unrivalled calibre, built by us to the highest standards here in Sheffield.

All frame size recommendations are approximate. A good fit will also depend on the correct choice of stem length, correct bike set-up for the rider and riding style.
Correct frame size choice can vary greatly with riders' torso length. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for a slightly shorter stem. If you think you are borderline between sizes, and you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for the smaller frame size. If you have shorter legs and a longer torso, go for the larger frame size to get the extra top tube length.
As the frame sizes increase, so does the length of the head tube. If you are inflexible or perhaps have a history of back problems, consider going for a larger frame size. This will increase the relative height of the handlebars making the position less “extreme”. The larger frame will also have a longer top tube, so you’ll need to compensate for this with a shorter stem.
