The result of extensive testing by Planet X's resident cycling legend Mark Lovatt, these 60mm carbon clincher wheels are fast, light and come in at a price nobody can argue with.
These wheels weigh just 1810g per pair, offering quick acceleration on the flats and the climbs, with nimble, assured handling a guarantee. Because the 60mm Carbon Clinchers have CNC-machined aluminium sidewalls, your brakes will still work properly in all conditions. Finished with a polished 3k weave they look the part too.
The 60mm rim depth makes these our recommended wheels for against-the-clock efforts and fast riding in flatter terrain. You'll immediately notice the extra turn of speed on the flat - and take it easy on the descents, those corners are closer and quicker than you think!
Our carbon clincher wheels are built on lightweight hubs with 6061 aluminium bodies and high-strength 7075 aluminium axles and freehub body. They turn on super-smooth Japanese-made sealed bearings - two in the front hub, and four in the rear, so they're durable and easy to rebuild.
Hubs and rims are joined by cold-drawn, double-butted bladed spokes made from Sandvik T302 stainless steel. Twenty spokes up front is the optimum balance between aerodynamics and strength, while 24 spokes in the rear means these wheels won't let you down but keep the overall weight down. No odd spoke designs here either - we've used standard J-head spokes so you can get a replacement anywhere without taking out a second mortgage.

Complete wheel weights (without skewers)
I have cycled approximately 80 kilometres and the rear wheel is buckled. Worse than that is the lack of the correct tool to tighten the spokes. I have visited all the tool shops and bicycle shops in Monaco looking for the correct tool.i eventually found the correct pipe key in Beaulieu at the Trek bike shop. It cost 4 Euros. This tool should be provided with all the wheel sets you sell plus 4 spare spokes. I have still not received a reply to my request from Planet X for the correct socket. Phoning Planet X is not recommended because you have to wait in a queue of 5 before you get a reply. This makes phoning from Monaco very expensive.
