Our man Frank has been riding in SOS socks all week, and says: “They feel awesome. They are comfy and soft and my feet never felt clammy like they usually do with other socks. I even rode them without shoe covers and they kept my feet fairly warm. Their looks definitely attracted a lot of attention too.”

About SOS socks

Save Our Soles was founded in 2006 in Westminster Colorado to produce great-looking, high-performance socks for outdoor athletes such as runners, cyclists, skiers and hikers. They've quickly established themselves as the USA's most innovative sock maker, with features such as soft, moisture-controlling core-spun Coolmax® fabric; tough, environmentally-friendly Eco-Sole-Max (a blend of EcoCoolmax and Curdura nylon) and super-comfortable bamboo rayon.

Being a Colorado company, Save Our Soles is highly aware of the environment. They use minimal packaging made from recycled card and printed with environmentally-friendly inks. All aspects of their sock production have been examined to reduce waste and minimise environmental impact.

SOS Socks standard design is anything but standard. They use core-spun Coolmax® fabric which is the best of both worlds; unsurpassed moisture management and Lycra® sport stability. Our specific knitting machines place the Coolmax® fabric on the inside of the socks where it controls moisture from the foot, while the 3-ply nylon is used on the outside of the sock for strength and durability. The core-spun yarn is the most efficient way of knitting Lycra® fabric into the foot of the sock and still allow both the Coolmax® fabric and nylon to be sandwiched together. The cool designs are just a disguise; it’s a unique construction of the best materials and is unmatched anywhere.

Save Our Soles® Merino wool socks are the finest on the planet. They use only extra fine wool for its inherent temperature regulation, moisture management and bacteria resistance. The heel and toe are reinforced with nylon to give you the extra durability you need. Features include:

Sole Stretch Cuff™: protective and gentle barrier (available in several heights)

Air Sole Mesh™: Merino wool and nylon blend for maximum breathability

Sole Seam™: Rosso Extra Smooth looped toe seam (incredibly durable and comfortable)

Nylon reinforced heel and toe for added durability and years of enjoyment

Lycra® is used throughout the sock providing gentle support and comfort all day long

Merino wool - extra fine fibre and a high needle count sock construction provide the softest and most durable sock available. The wool fibre holds up to 30% of its weight in moisture while the tile like exterior is water repelling. This combination keeps you feeling dry and warm.
