CBOOBZ29SX
An Adventure bike at heart but really a bike that will work anywhere, The Bootzipper features a steel frameset that offers unrivalled comfort on long bike tours but is also comfortable carrying panniers on your commute. 2 bottle cages and fork bag mounts allow you to maximise storage, while tyre clearance up to 2.4 means it can easily be ridden on mellower cross country trails too.
The Bootzipper is designed to be tough, durable, and smooth on any terrain. A 4130 chromoly frameset guarantees this, offering mounts for bags of all kinds for any adventure you throw at it. While it wont allow you to cover ground as fast as a gravel bike, the blend of smooth steel and a relaxed style of geometry will provide a comfortable ride for as longs as your legs will allow it. Should you want to add a dropper, theres internal routing for one if you want to venture into more technical terrain.
Srams 12 speed SX Eagle groupset is used for the drivetrain, offering a huge range of gears for getting you up any gradient. A clutch derailleur and narrow wide chainring mean the chain will be noise free in the roughest of terrain. Srams hydraulic Level disc brakes will be easy to control under hard braking, even with over 10KG of bikepacking gear added on.
The Bootzipper rolls on 29 wheels, Enabling you to hold faster speeds with less effort, and stay on top of Pot Holes rather than plowing into them. A wider rim profile means the tyres provide a wider contact patch resulting in more grip. Selcof finishing kit is used through the cockpit, with a wide Enduro6 handlebar being used for added stability on rougher terrain and the 50mm Hot Box stem keeps the steering nice and responsive.

Pedal choice is a personal thing. Some people prefer to ride with clipless pedals matched to cleats on the underside of your cycling shoes, others may prefer a flat pedal paired with shoes with a tread designed to provide grip without the aid of cleats. At Planet X our bikes dont come with pedals included but we do sell a wide range of clipless and flat pedals for all types of cyclists, see the following link for our range - Pedals

Rider Height | Suggested Frame Size |
---|---|
5′4″ to 5′7″ | Small |
5′7″ to 5′10″ | Medium |
5′10″ to 6′1″ | Large |
6′1″ to 6′3″ | X-Large |
All frame size recommendations are approximate. A good fit will also depend on the correct choice of stem length, correct bike set-up for the rider and riding style.
Correct frame size choice can vary greatly with riders' torso length. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for a slightly shorter stem. If you think you are borderline between sizes, and you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for the smaller frame size. If you have shorter legs and a longer torso, go for the larger frame size to get the extra top tube length.
As the frame sizes increase, so does the length of the head tube. If you are inflexible or perhaps have a history of back problems, consider going for a larger frame size. This will increase the relative height of the handlebars making the position less “extreme”. The larger frame will also have a longer top tube, so you’ll need to compensate for this with a shorter stem.
