Description

Frame: 3al/2.5V Titanium has a justly deserved reputation as a wonder material. No other metal matches it for strength-to-weight ratio and no carbon frame can beat it for durability and ride feel. It blends the low weight and efficiency of carbon with the handling feel of the best steel bikes. Titanium bikes always stand out from the crowd with looks and longevity that are peerless at any price; with a cast metal head badge and subtle brushed 'Invasion Stripe' detailing the Hurricane is no exception. Everyone should have at least one titanium road bike in their collection.

Conceived as the ultimate, disc brake equipped Audax machine. Triple butted main tubes contribute to the Hurricane's lightweight feel while carefully ovalized and tapered rear triangle tubes provide subtle vertical compliance that helps to smooth out the longest, roughest rides. Ovalized seat and down tubes mate to a 68mm bottom bracket shell to provide a firm, responsive pedaling platform. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle than the Spitfire delivers predictable handling and puts you in a riding position that's perfectly suited to 100 mile+ day long epic rides.

Groupset: now the Hurricane is available with with the fantatsic SRAM Rival 11 a 22-speed groupset for those with serious road riding in mind. Disc brakes will pull you to a halt quicker than any rim brake regardless of whether it's wet or dry. SRAM's innovative Double Tap shifting provides instantaneous gear shifts from the lightest touch at the controls. Whether you're racing or putting the miles in during long weekend rides. With quality like this, its easy to see why SRAM Rival is so well regarded.

Wheelset: Vision Team 30 Disc are light, strong and fast, perfect for epic road rides. Based on our best selling 700c road wheel they come with an 11 speed capable rear hub so you have maximum options in what rear cassette you chose to run. With 4 oversized bearings in each rear hub, 2 in the hub shell and 2 supporting the freehub, it's unlikely that you'll need to take a look inside them any time soon. With ISO standard 6-bolt disc brake mounts they're the perfect wheel for extended tarmac rides for any rider looking to gain maximum advantage from your disc brakes
