Description

While the Space Chicken's name might not make any sense everything else about it makes perfect sense. Built for adventurous riders who want to tackle any trail and explore the backcountry under their own steam the Space Chicken is equipped for the long haul. Handbuilt from IM carbon it's surprisingly lightweight, especially if you're coming from steel or titanium frames.

With thru axles, disk brakes, Stealth Dropper routeing, internal cable routeing, 3 bottle mounts, rear pannier mounts and space for full mudguards, On-One provides all the details that any adventurer could need. What you don't see on the inside is just as important as what's on the outside and that's why you'll find extra layers of carbon on the seat-tube and top-tube to help support the weight of your bikepacks. An extra bottle cage on the downtube helps you carry enough liquid for the long haul.

The Space Chicken's versatility works hand in hand with On-One's carefully developed frame geometry. Choosing between 650b/700c isn't an issue, ride whatever you fancy. With space for 650b tyres up to 47mm, you can choose wheels to match the conditions. On-One have included a dropped RHS chainstay to help clear wider tyres and offer more space for bigger chainrings. Whether you're a beast looking to run a 42t front ring for fast CX riding or a serious diesel engine who'll grind out the miles with fully loaded panniers and bikepacks on a 28t the Space Chicken is for you.

Gravel, touring, cyclocross, big wheels, big tyres, huge load carrying ability, built for 1X drivetrains, dropper seat post ready and kitted with flat mount disk brakes the Space Chicken is ready for anything- are you?

Sizing Guide

Rider HeightSuggested Frame Size
5′5″ to 5′8″Small (51)
5′7″ to 5′11″Medium (54)
5′10″ to 6′2″ Large (57)
6'1″ to 6′4″ X-Large (60)

Sizing Notes

All frame size recommendations are approximate. A good fit will also depend on the correct choice of stem length, correct bike set-up for the rider and riding style.

Correct frame size choice can vary greatly with riders' torso length. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for a slightly shorter stem. If you think you are borderline between sizes, and you have longer legs and a shorter torso, go for the smaller frame size. If you have shorter legs and a longer torso, go for the larger frame size to get the extra top tube length.

As the frame sizes increase, so does the length of the head tube. If you are inflexible or perhaps have a history of back problems, consider going for a larger frame size. This will increase the relative height of the handlebars making the position less “extreme”. The larger frame will also have a longer top tube, so you’ll need to compensate for this with a shorter stem.
