The Planet X Das Boot SPD has been specifically designed to provide a high level of moisture regulation, wind protection and comfort, to keep you riding through any extreme weather.

Das Boot will protect your feet from cold and wet conditions, thanks to a seam sealed DryS-Tex water resistant membrane and strong coated Cordura upper. A neoprene ankle cover keeps the mud and water out. The interior is lined with warm fleece and EcoStar insulation for warmth and heat retention. We even go to the extreme of ensuring that every single DryS-Tex liner is tested before being assembled inside the shoe to ensure maximum mositure regulation. They won't keep your feet dry if you go swimming, but for most other things...

The M250 outsole is equipped with anti-slip lugs and optional toe spikes, to provide reliable traction, walking stability and a powerful pedal stroke. The simple lace up system and a large Velcro closure make it easy to use with or without gloves. Reflective detailing helps keep you visible in poor weather conditions.

Whether you are riding to work on a cold morning or hitting the snowy trails, it will be ready to tackle any extreme weather that may come your way.

I dont often write reviews. I have had these for 5-6 months, These are great. I have tried a variety of overshoes and extra socks and even tin foil between two layers of socks but would still get cold feet in under 5degC. These have fixed my issues entirely. They are also entirely waterproof. Done several 20-60 mile rides where my entire body was saturated soaked and then taken my shoes off to find dry socks. Pretty amazing, I couldnt find anything else anywhere near this price and Im glad I took a punt on these. At the time they were new out with no reviews but totally worth the risk.

These are teriffic. Warm, comfortable and decent stiff soles. If you prefer to use a moulded insole instead of the flat furry one, go a size higher to allow a bit more space. They are a bit wide so I'm getting some scuffing off the crank but in other aspects they are so much better than shoes with overshoes. No more frozen toes!

OK, so I bought these on the basis that everything else I've had from here has performed brilliantly. These are no exception. Thursday last I did 18 miles off road in constant drizzle and came home with warm, dry feet. Today I've done 30 miles off road in - 3 degrees. Mud everywhere, puddles, a small river crossing and then when I got home, I hosed them off still on my feet. It was so cold, the mud was freezing on the bike. And I still had warm, dry feet. They're a bit awkward to walk in compared to my 'summer' shoes, as the soles are properly stiff. They also felt a bit weird at first, as I expected them to feel like boots, but they're not. They're shoes, with a high soft cuff. So they don't. They're very comfortable on the bike. I went for a 46, the same size as my Polaris summer shoes. They're snug without being constricting. Overall, another price-quality win from Planet X.

Bought these to replace my ancient shimano winter boots. Sizing was spot on (similar to the Shimano) and they're very comfy. Had them out in freezing conditions today, with many icy puddles about, and was hugely impressed. Despite my best attempts my feet stayed warm and dry throughout (maybe a tad moist from sweat). Very happy with them!

At this price you can't go wrong, comfy as hell, warm and (mostly) waterproof to boot. Wear these for a couple of seasons and you'll not only save money on overshoes you won't have the hassle of getting said overshoes on and off. Oh, and they look pretty good too!

What's interesting here is I was looking at Northwave GTX boots when I was told about these. So i bought these and then my wife secretly bought the GTX for me as well so I got to compare the two, like a professional reviewer or something. OK, Das Boot. *really* comfy to wear, I mean they're like slippers. Dead easy to put on and take off too (no-one will ever say that about the GTX boots). Lovely and warm and seem to keep out virtually all of the moisture. The soles tend to be a bit wet at the end of long rides, even if it's nt rained so I assume they're getting a bit sweaty inside. Quick tip, open the flaps up when you leave them to dry otherwise they stay damp inside. Overall, excellent value for money. Yeah, they're not as super-comfy as the GTX boots and they do get a bit sweaty inside but at half the price, they're a bargain.
