Stunning wheels at a great price from Planet X. Light, stiff and bonkers wide rims. 28c tyres look the most aero on them but currently rolling lush with 35c gravel tyres. Came with 3M tubeless tape fitted - added a valve, put on Schwalbe G-One's by hand, added stans fluid and pumped up with track pump. Job done. Freehub 'sounds' a little cheap compared to DTS/CK, and the finish does scuff up a little easy (the grit in Stans fluid scratched the paint as I refitted a tyre). Those minor gripes aside you are getting a set of wheels that compete with Enve 4.5ARs in terms of weight and width... for about a quarter of the price. Love them!

Staggeringly good set of wheels at a superb price from PlanetX. Wide, light (I forgot to weigh them before setting them up... sigh) and stiff. Came pre-fitted with tubeless rim tape. I simply added tubeless valves, popped on a G-One 35c's without levers, and they went up with a track-pump easy. Removed valves and put in 70ml of Stan's sealant and they have been great. They ride very well and are seriously stiff with very high spoke tension. No flex at all. Really pop-out wide tyre nicely making the 35cs nearer 38mm. Really can't fault the engineering and price. Two minor gripes... the freehub sound is a bit, well, cheap sounding. It has a fairly high-pitched ratchet that reminds me of inexpensive wheels and the engagement is OK if not super-quick. I have CK and DT hubs on other wheels which are better in both respects... but cost as much as these wheels, so there you go! The other issue is the graphics. While they are a matter of taste, the gold colour RoubX decal is a metal badge. That caught the cloth first time I cleaned the wheels and broke away part of the lettering... so it now says RoubY. No 15mm front axle option if you have an older road-disc bike (i.e. Boardman CXR) Those minor niggles aside, and an absolutely stunning set of wheels for the money. I can't think of any other wheelset that gets close in terms of rim-width, build quality and low weight at the price. (I had Zipp 30 Course previously... more expensive, alloy rims, 150g a set heavier, needed to buy tubeless tape and they have bearings made of cheese.)
