Mini-Froome Fraser stars on his Planet X Giovanissimi

One young British cyclist was instantly inspired by Chris Froome's new descending style on Saturday after the Team Sky rider had taken the yellow jersey of race leader.

A tweeted video clip of six-year-old Fraser MacArthur, descending Froome-style, went viral over the weekend and - wouldn't you know it - Fraser was riding a Planet X Giovanissimi race bike.

Fraser's dad bought him the 20 inch wheel Giovanissimi recently as the cycling-mad youngster had been itching to get riding a drop barred bike. Fraser raced in the Under-8 National Criterium Championship on the bike at the end of June. The family, including older brother Connor, are now off to the French Alps to see the Tour and perhaps catch up with Mister Froome.

The video clip was also shown on ITV4’s Tour Highlights Show on Sunday.

You can read more about Fraser and Connor (below) and their cycling here.

Forza Fraser! Allez Connor!
