What's New and Coming Next From Planet X

Cycling is a seasonal sport for a lot of people. They roll their bikes out at the first hint of spring and then put them away again once the dark nights start closing in. Of course, for us it's a 24-7, 365 days of the year thing. We're not fair weather cyclists. While you're thinking of where you'll be riding on your summer bike holiday we are out in all conditions smashing the miles off and testing in fair weather and foul. That's what we have to do to make sure we have a brand new range of bikes ready for you when you come out of hibernation.

There's quit e a few new bikes coming from Planet X for next season. A few of them are almost ready now, some of them will need a bit more fettling before they are finished. But we thought we'd tell you about them anyway, and if you're free this weekend you can come on over to the Bike Show at the NEC and put your hands on them. We'll be on stand H21 all weekend with a killer selection of bikes- not just from Planet X but from all of our sister brands as well.

Here's what's new and upcoming in the next few months from Planet X.

EC-130E Aero Road:

The first new bike coming from Planet X is our brand new Aero Road race bike the EC-130E. It's an all out attack on extracting the maximum aero advantage from a competition legal frame. With new slippery tube profile, a tucked back wheel, short rear stays, curved top tube and an totally new aero stem, aero bar set-up the EC-130E is fast.

We've gone to huge lengths to ensure that every watt goes straight to the back tyre; the bottom bracket area is massively strong and formed from the lowest drag tube shapes we could muster. The cycling position is low on the front, ideal for racers who want to slam that front end for the fastest sprinting position. The frame is constructed from a blend of High Modulus and Intermediate Modulus carbon fibre- this is no one-season race queen, she's built to last.

We'll be offering the EC-130E with a range of different groupset and a selection of carbon wheels to suit all courses and all riders. Keep your eyes peeled from the PX team testing samples this winter the EC-130E will be available from Mid January 2016, so start saving your pennies for this aero rocket.

The much loved, trusty Pro Carbon will be offered in a new range of colour schemes from late December. Pick up a bargain on current stock while you can or wait for the new livery; the Pro Carbon is still the best value full carbon road bike in the UK. Tens of thousands of cyclists can't all be wrong!

Exocet 3:

We've been working on a new top of the range bike to head up our TT/Triathlon offering for a while now. The Exocet 3 been tested at races around Europe and it's blisteringly fast. With a new integrated aero bar / stem design and improved frame tube profiles, the Exocet is faster than ever and set to help riders smash PBs at TT and triathlon events. Designed specifically for Di2 the new Exocet might just be the fastest bike we've ever built. There's no firm delivery date  yet as we're still tweaking the design to trim every last gram of spare from the frame and improving the aerodynamics and riding position until they are absolutely perfect. Start your winter training soon; you are going to want to be on top form to do the EXO3 justice when it arrives.

RT-80 / RT-90:

The RT-80 and RT-90 have been huge sellers for us this year. The top Road Race and Sportive bikes in the PX line-up they've found favour with hundreds of competitive and serious recreational cyclists and helped us introduce the benefits of hydraulic disk brakes on road bikes to the masses. The UCI is sure to add disk brakes to the approved components list for next season so the RTD-90 disk brake equipped RT-90 is sure to become an even bigger success than it was this summer.

If you're looking for a lightweight, comfortable road bike for taking to the races and putting some serious miles on then you should check the RT-80 and RT-90 bikes out and find out what everyone is raving about. The RT-90 and RT-80 are seriously competitive- just like you.

There's loads more new stuff on show at the NEC this weekend check out all the bikes from our siblings brands.
