On Saturday, 10 January, Andy Magnier will be the first Planet X rider to take part in the coverted Revolution Track Racing series at Manchester velodrome. Andy will be riding against current world and olympic champions Ed Clancy, Geraint Thomas, Rob Hayles and Chris Newton to name but a few...Andy will ride the Planet X Pro Carbon Track with Xentis Wheels

The new Planet X Track Team spent the day at the Newport Velodrome on Sunday helping Andy Magnier prepare for the up and coming Revolution meeting this weekend. Andy, silver medalist in the 2008 British National Track Championship Scratch race, will be competing against the best track riders in the world in front of a sell out crowd in the Manchester Velodrome. When he finally turned up he spent the day getting to know his new bike, his team mates and dishing out some pain. track-day-1 The new team get to grips with the Xentis and Planet X Carbon 50 Track wheels. Talking about the new Track team for 2009 Andy said, "I am really excited about riding for Planet X. It is a great opportunity for me and the rev this weekend, and the one in Feb, is a great way to get the new bike noticed. The kit looks really cool and it even makes me look handsome". No pressure Andy but we expect to see some of those MBE, OBE, olympic champions and world champions getting thier arses kicked. The Planet X Carbon Pro Track made its first debut at the rev's last year with a member of the new track team riding it. Joining Andy on the team will be Boyd and Adam Roberts, Ian Cooper and Richard Prince; more to come about these jokers in the coming weeks. If you are at Manchester on Saturday night make sure you give Andy, the only non professional / full time cyclist a shout. Or you can post him a good luck message here. COME ON ANDY... The Team spent most of the day waiting for Andy to turn up, then when he did he dropped them all!track-day-5
