2 week training camp

After a season of up and down, i appreciate that the best taper for an Ironman is not to do 2x 40hour weeks in the Alps training. However, this is going to be a bit of an experiment that they say you become a different rider after 2 weeks in a Grand Tour so this is my own attempt . Planned is a 3k swim every day, at least one ascent of the Semnoz (my fav climb out there) semnoz and a bit of running. Already have the garmin loaded up with routes up the Forclaz (32 min pb) Arpettaz, Croix Fry, Saisies, Aravis, Colombiere and Plateau des Giliers, all with times to beat and this time no groups to hold me back. A few day trips planned to Alpe D'Huez, Col Du Joux Plane, Val Thorens and the day of hell to do all 4 sides of the Col de Grande Colombiere (deemed too steep for le tour), with a max grade of 22% and 3km of average 16%. All in the name of some bike speed. Only 3 days after returning sees team planet X part timers (Myself , Rob and Fiona) taking on the Eireman long distance triathlon. This could be sh!t or bust for my season. I could end up being super strong or super knackered. Lets wait and see.
