Ginger Avenger to reach new heights

Ginger Avenger to reach new heights

Despite a complete lack of ability to race on roads that go UP the Ginger Avenger fly’s out to Ireland this weekend to take part in an Irish Classic one day race the Shay Elliot, which provides a day out in the Wicklow Mountains.

Looking to secure himself a late call up for the Planet X Team for the RAS, the Ginger Avenger sort the advice of previous winner, and team mate, Mark Lovatt prior to his trip who said “Stay at home, your to fat”.

The weekend will provide the chance to taste racing over in Ireland and comes on the back of the GA’s first win of the season in the highly contested Coventry CC midweek 10m TT.

Speaking about his trip he said, “It’s not my ideal course but riding with the team will be a good experience and hopefully I can do something in the early part of the race to help the lads out. With any luck my flight will get cancelled because of Volcanic Ash and I won’t have to make an ASS out of myself”.

Preparing for the trip from his secret training base in the Midlands the GA is still a bike bag short of a plane trip but hopes to scrounge his way through by Saturday.
