Cancellara secret weapon for Harrison

Cancellara secret weapon for Harrison

Planet X Padawan learner Sam Harrison starts this weekends National Junior Road Race with the Number 1 on his back and is hoping to live up to the billing with Top spot on the podium come the end of the race.

Harrison, undoubtedly the most aggressive junior rider in the World judging by his performances this year in the UK and abroad goes into the race as one of the hot favourites. Sam has pulled top finishes this year in the National Junior series events, smashed the Junior Paris Roubaix to bits but fell short in the final few miles and cannot be underestimated.

Speaking about the weekend Sam said, "I am just going to smash it from start to the finish. If anyone wants to follow me then great, but you better be prepared to go to hell and back. Go hard or go home!".

Despite a complete lack of victories on the road over the past two years the Planet X Cosa Nostra is firmly behind the young Welshman who never fails to dissappoint in the big races.

Seeking the slighest advantage could be the key to victory for Sam in what is set to be an epic struggle between some of the the best U19 year olds in the world (4 in top 10 and Junior Paris Roubaix). He should benefit from the race being run in Wales for the second year. Sam will also benefit from taking to his grid on his Planet X Nanolight Team Issue, which has already proved itselfs on the road to Roubaix. A totally new frame, designed in partnership with Europe's leading carbon nanotube manufacturer means outstanding strength and finishing quality plus a featherlight sub 1100g frame weight for getting over the tough climbs with energy to spare.

In preperation for the race rumors of a secret training camp with Fabinan Cancellara are circulating following their war of words in April at Roubaix. Both riders, famed for do or die race smashing breakaways, are said to have settled their differences in a 6 hour ride through the Arden, where Harrison is said to have put the wheel on!

Speaking to Cancellara just prior to his start in the Tour of Califorina he said, "Sam who, ah yes....he rides like me but doesn't win. I know who you mean now".

Check back next week for a full race report including an interview with the new National Junior Road Race Champion. We will also get Sam to say something!! Only joking Sam
