Ryan Mullen- Top Planet X Youth Rider

A quick bulletin with this weekend’s results for 15 year old rising star Ryan Mullen. He did the famous Levens 10-mile course in the Lake District on Saturday evening in 19 mins 49 secs, setting a new completion record that was verified and checked by the hob-nobs at CTC. No complaints this time.

Sunday morning was the Rhos on Sea “Open 10” time trial event held on the A55 course starting at St. Asaph. This was only 10 miles away for us and not 250 mile round trip for the Levens course!! Near perfect conditions saw Ryan do a 19 mins 36 secs and beat Saturday’s performance!
Ryan’s on a role following his excellent silver placing in the National 25 champs the other week…

In a TLI race in Anglesey a few weeks ago a Raleigh pro called Liam Holohan just about beat him on the Ty Croes motor racing circuit in Anglesey. Hoolihan now has the points leaders jersey in the current Halfords Tour! Ryan also got 2nd to Rob Crampton (brother of GB squad rider Mathew) in a TLI race with 1st and 2nd category riders at Oulton Park this past 2 weeks in a row. Will have to beat him this week!!

Ryan was in my son's year at school and a bit of a local hero ... to say the least. Another superb performance from a rider I fear seeing on the road (being more than 3 times his age and considerably slower!). Chapeau Ryan!
