Track talent school scouts Planet X young hopefuls

When British Cycling sent the e-mail through to invite three Planet X riders to join an elite group of youth cyclist at the Manchester Velodrome we naturally said yes. The Regional School of Development funded by the Olympic talent programme invite local coaches to put forward riders that will benefit from quality track time. Lucky for us the West Yorkshire region contains three of our youth riders, Leon Gledhill, Jacob Scott and Mel Lowther.

The day started at noon and went through to early evening with plenty of track time, mainly focusing on the Madison race training which involves teams making difficult hand slings with there team mates. As the youth riders were split into groups they had to wear jerseys supplied by the coaches so it was hard to spot our riders but not our Pro Carbon Track bikes with spanking new prototype bars.
