Planet X lads square up to each other this weekend

This weekend's Tour of Ulster will see the first meeting of Planet X Ireland sponsored Colm Cassidy and Planet X UK sponsored (and Irish qualified) Ryan Mullen.

Colm will be riding for his local UCD club in the 4 Stage event. Ryan will be competing under the flag of the Irish Development Squad.

So what are the stats?

In terms of equipment both are evenly matched. Colm aboard his RT-57 and Ryan on the new N2A.

Both are off the peg machines with no absolutely no additives or preservatives which just goes to prove the race readiness of both machines.

Both lads are noted testers so the head to head over the short two mile TT will be an interesting battle. Both lads will be out for the stage win here aboard their Exocet 2s.

It is just a case of which one is faster, Colm's black or Ryan's white.

Form going into the event for both lads has been very good. Colm was unfortunate to be brought down in a collision during Rás Mumhan which has had him sidelined for two weeks with a niggling knee problem.

Ryan on the other hand is just coming off his near 60 mile solo effort to win the Visit Nenagh Classic last week. However this will be his first step up to A1 ranks on Irish shores.

It will make for interesting viewing.

Who's your money on?
