Mullen storms Stage 1

Mullen storms Stage 1

Ryan Mullen stormed to victory in Stage 1 of the Junior Tour of Ireland. Mullen covered the 6.9km course in a time of 9mins20secs, some four seconds faster than Hugh Carthy of Maxgear Champion Systems. The evening was dull in Castlebar, Co. Mayo for the start and the rain always threatened but thankfully never delivered.

The 66 riders head for Westport on Wednesday Morning for a 110km stage via Louisburgh Leenaun, Tourmakeady and to finish back in Wesport again.

Ryan races on a Planet X N2A road bike, very similar to this one. We can't promise it'll make you go as fast as him, even at your age, but it'll do you no harm.

And Ryan moves from success to success. From having his talent nutured by Px, Ryan has developed to ride in Europe and on 17th September was 9th in the Junior Mens TT at the 2012 UCI World Championships. This young man will be a name to remember and I'm sure he'll be an international success. Well done Ryan; congratulations to Px for spotting and supporting his talent.
