Dave Haygarth has just sent in this ace video of his training with partner CrossJunkie for the awesome Yorkshire 3 Peaks Cyclocross in just over a fortnight.

Dave writes:-

Crossjunkie and I have been out on Bull Hill again every week.  It's that time of year.  The Three Peaks is at the end of the month and there is no other event like it. That means specific preparation to match.

I’m very lucky living on the fringe of open moorland and the northern slope of Bull Hill, an otherwise unremarkable mound on the western fringe of Rossendale, is a superb simulation of the nasty steep grassy incline of Simon Fell (the first and in my opinion hardest climb of the Three Peaks). 

Alan's written about our Bull Hill training sessions a couple of times before.  There's something so-hard-it-almost-is-nice about it. The climbs are the type you get grass and peat embedded in your fingernails from.  The descents are shaky at worst and unflowing at best. All in all it pretty much gets the body and soul ready for an unnatural, strange and uniquely tough race.
