An Update From Millie Cass

Millie Cass is one of our sponsored youth athletes, at the age of 16 she has already achieved a number of notable race results and has been selected to join the Team GB Youth Development Squad.  Millie, who has hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy, also known as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease a progressive condition affecting her muscles and nerves, has her sights set on competing at the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.

During this season Mille has been riding her Planet X RT-90 and Pro Carbon Track bike with great success coming 3rd U16 at Doncaster criterium, 3rd at the national para-cycling challenge, 3rd in the circuit national championships and 5th overall in the national circuit series. Watch this space as Mille is planning for her best season yet already!

So far I've had a great season. I was really happy to come 5th in the national circuit series alongside the adults. The national championships in Hillingdon was the highlight of the series, where I finished 3rd. My attention then changed to track. I came 3rd in the para-cycling challenge, then I got 5 PB's in the sainsburys school games. Now I'm preparing for an international cup in November where I hope to get further PB's.
