Founded in the UK's Steel City, Sheffield, Planet X has been designing and building bikes for over 30 years. As cycling advocates and enthusiasts, we want to encourage as many people as possible to experience the joy of riding a great bike without paying hugely inflated prices.
Our Story
Way back in 1988, Planet X was founded in the steel city of Sheffield by and for cycling enthusiasts. We were frustrated by the way extortionate gear costs were pricing otherwise devoted cyclists out of the game - making cycling a hobby only for the wealthy - so we decided to do something about it. And thus, Planet X was born. Admittedly, the ideals that make Planet X the bike experts you know and love haven’t changed much since then. Planet X was founded with the mandate to make cycling accessible to all via great quality gear and affordable prices, and we’re proud to say we’ve never stopped.
Over the years, as the company grew, we’ve been able to improve our offering to make ourselves a one stop shop for all your cycling needs. Now we offer a range of high quality products and services, from pro-level bikes and gear to custom bike buildingand live video support.
