Bootzipper 29

Dave had an idea.
Infact it's been brewing for a while.

We used to make trials bikes - a lot of them. Those hoppy-about ones - all under the Planet X brand. But increasingly they stopped looking like bikes and at that point Dave got really upset. He likes bikes that look like bikes.

On-One mountainbikes carried on. And the inbred's were a tremendous success, but as things escalated, and travel got bigger and more lary - was the Codeine really a mountainbike? What was a mountainbike any more?

Of course the Codeine was a brilliant mountainbike. But increasingly we've seen as things have advanced the bikes for actually riding about on normal trails have vanished.

We're tackling this from two directions going forward - one, these Bootzipper "going back to our roots", and also what we're calling "flat bar gravel" bikes - bringing road drivetrain and 650B skinny wheels together with longer top tubed, slacker geometry frames too.

We're not really sure where it'll all end up, but they're coming, and they'll be here in a few months.

This is the kind of bike I want! What's the widest tire it can take in the back?
