Tied in with additional mounting points for bags, theres no reason why it wont be a good platform for some fast multi-day bikepacking expeditions too. If youre a road rider looking to get into gravel, or simply like going fast on your gravel rides, then the Free Ranger will fit the bill perfectly.

Sram's Rival 1 drivetrain brings down techology from its higher tier groupsets, providing crisp and accurate shifting with plenty of range from the 11-42 cassette. The clutch mech and narrow wide chainring keep chain slap to a minimum, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes offer control and power regardless of the gradient.

Fulcrum Racing 900 wheels offer low weight with plenty of compliance when riding on rougher surfaces. Selcof finishing kit is used at the cockpit, with comfy soft touch bar tape and a gravel handlebar give a wider position in the drops providing more comfort and stability offroad.

Pedals not included? Why not?

Pedal choice is a personal thing. Most higher end bikes are expected to be ridden with clipless pedals. These are matched to cleats on the underside of your cycling shoes. There are a few standards of these, and most cyclists tend to stick with one standard across all their bikes. So, you don't need to buy multiple pairs of shoes! Thats why Planet X don’t sell bikes with pedals included. If you wish to add pedals to your order, simply select an option from the drop-down menu.
